Adam focuses on pain by helping people move the best they can. A typical appointment includes identifying the problematic tissue and then a full exam to see how the patient moves as a whole. This leads to a holistic biomechanical treatment of not only the overloaded, often painful tissue, but also the reason it is overloaded. Hands on work includes Active Release Technique (muscle, tendon, ligament, fascia, nerves), Fascial Manipulation, and Chiropractic Joint Manipulation, as well as Rehabilitation exercises that are unique to you. This leads to addressing the problem, as well as why it exists. with the goal of long-term resolution of the reason you visited Spine and Sports. Adam is an Elite Provider within ART, having all certifications currently offered, and allowing him to take on corporate contracts outside the office.
Adam is originally from Gretna, NE and graduated from Gretna High School in 2002. He attended Doane University in Crete, NE and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with honors. He continued his education at Logan University in St. Louis, MO. While at Logan, Adam was named to the Dean’s list 8 out of 9 semesters and graduated Cum Laude, ranking in the top ten percent of his class. He was named to Who’s Who of Among Students in 2009, and was recognized as a top contributor to the Logan Health Centers. He also was selected to be one of a few interns in the Biofreeze Sports Rehabilitation Center where he was fortunate to work with athletes ranging from junior high to the professional ranks while still in school.
When Adam is not treating patients he loves spending time with his wife Kari and their 2 children. Adam also stays active and enjoys running, hiking, fishing, skiing, and almost anything else is self-powered that he can do outdoors.
Dr. Gentzler has found that his passion lies in the functional model of physical health care. Discovering this about halfway through school, he spent the next year and a half taking the required classes to become a full body certified A.R.T. provider. Dr. Gentzler was then privileged to do an internship with one of the most experienced and well respected ART doctors in the country in Omaha, NE. He continually searches for more ways to fully understand and treat pain and dysfunction using techniques that assess and normalize biomechanics. He has a special interest in treating runners and is an ultramarathoner himself.
When Dr. Gentzler is not treating patients he enjoys spending time with his wife Kari and their two dogs Remy and Zola. Kari is a professor of Sociology at Doane College. Dr. Gentzler also stays very active and enjoys running, hiking, fishing, golfing, camping, skiing, and almost anything else that he can do outdoors.
