Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Krista Gipson was raised in Clay Center, Nebraska, graduating from Sandy Creek High School. She attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, to study athletic training, working with the Husker football, wrestling, baseball, and track and field teams, graduating with her certificate and she now holds a license in athletic training. After obtaining her bachelor’s, Krista attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy where she served as president of her class and graduated “with highest distinction.”
Krista is passionate about prescribing movement as medicine to help her patients achieve their potential through all ages and injuries. With the patient’s best interest in mind, she provides care based on the most recent evidence for musculoskeletal injuries. She enjoys diving in to analyze impairments and find solutions that improve function while also providing an education to her patients, so they are confident moving forward beyond their care at Spine and Sports.
Outside of spending time with patients, you can find Krista pursing her own health through movement such as lifting, cycling, and yoga. She particularly loves spending time with her husband, Levi, and together they are either outdoors playing golf, tennis, sand volleyball, or spending time with their friends and family. Outside of Nebraska, they are either deep in the ocean scuba diving or up on top of a mountain hiking. Krista wants her patients to continue to be able to pursue the activities they love most and experience the joy of healthy movement too.
